This series features coffee-producing nations of high interest to our members, presentations from World Coffee Research (WCR) staff, and conversations with guest speakers from partner organizations working in-country to create the future of coffee.
In the first half hour of the event, participants received an English presentation from WCR team members Emilia Umaña, Nursery Development Program Manager, and Jimmy More, Peru Country Project Manager, about the history of coffee in the country, its current production landscape, and an overview of WCR’s ongoing activities there, with a particular emphasis on recent seed lot and nursery sector initiatives. In addition, participants had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A with our team. In the second half hour, we feature an interview-style discussion in Spanish with our guest, Albertino Meza Ojeda from CENFROCAFE, one of our partner organizations in Peru.
